The Southern California Kendo Organization (SCKO) is proud to host the 2026 SCKO Individual Kendo Championships and the 2026 California Memorial Kendo Team Championships on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California.

Please accept this letter as an open invitation to all federations to participate in this annual event.

Due to the cancellation of our Memorial Day Team Tournament earlier this year because of the potential risk of a chemical explosion near the venue where the tournament was planned to take place, we have rescheduled the team tournament for the same day. Therefore, we will be hosting three events on October 4:

1. SCKO Individual Kendo Championships

2. Dojo Team Tournament

3. Federation Team Tournament

We anticipate this will be a large event, and we would greatly appreciate your support in assisting us with refereeing throughout the tournament.

Attached, you will find detailed information regarding the tournament rules and divisions, as well as the registration forms and fee information.

We are very excited to welcome you to Southern California and look forward to your participation and support at this year's SCKO Kendo Championships!

Please submit the completed registration forms and applicable fees by September 20, 2026, to competition@socalkendo.org.
